It’s a long journey, so we need your help! We’ll do our best to get there, but the most important thing is how many miles YOU move! Thousands of people worldwide have joined the challenge. Log your miles and they will be added to our total miles as a group. Now we are looking for runners, walkers, and joggers of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels to join us for our journey home to planet EARTH! As a group, our goal is to log enough miles circle the Earth TWELVE times! That is once around the Earth each month! The Earth’s equatorial circumference is 24,902 miles, so to circle the planet TWELVE times, we need to log 298,824 miles as a group. When we first started the journey, our goal was to race to the moon and all of the planets in the solar system, as well as the sun. Some suggestions we love: the Salomon soft cup and the X cup.Īs part of your entry fee you will get an event T-shirt, or you can choose not to have the T-shirt and the money we would pay for the T-shirt will go to Trees not Tees and a tree will be planted instead.For the past eleven years we have chosen a different planet to race to as a group. Help us do our bit to reduce the impact our events have on the environment by bringing your own reusable or collapsible cups for drinks at checkpoints. There will be three checkpoints each day at regular intervals, fully stocked with water and food. We recommend familiarising yourself with the route before the start of the race. You'll also be given a route card, designed to get you through any trickier sections. It's a National Trail with plenty of clear signposts and post discs.
